Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide basic diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs. We have three Doctors on staff.
Acupuncture: Is the insertion of needles into specific points on the body to cause or desired healing effect. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, disease is the result of an imbalance of energy in the body. Acupuncture can assist the body to heal itself by affecting certain physiologic changes. This affect can be increased by Chinese herbals and diet. Acupuncture can stimulate nerves, increase blood circulation, relieve muscle spasms and cause the release of the body's own endorphins and cortisol for natural pain relief. Dr Kris Dailey, Dr. Ramona Simko and Dr Alton Raymond are all Chi Institute trained and certified veterinary acupuncturists. We also do electric, hemo and aqua acupuncture, and occasionally implant gold beads.
Bicom or Bioresonance Therapy is a cutting edge non-invasive electromagnetic therapy used by Veterinarians to enhance the health of their animal patients. This technology uses electrodes to effect and identify unhealthy pathogens within the patients body and then modulates and feeds back the patients own electromagnetic information as a therapeutic frequency. This is a non invasive therapy with no known detrimental effects. This therapy can be used to treat pain, inflammation, allergies, and to eliminate toxins. Like acupuncture, Bicom therapy helps to activate and focus the body's own healing ability. Currently Animal Wellness Center is the only veterinarian hospital on the West Coast to offer this new and exciting treatment option.
Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation or VOM is a non traumatic chiropractic technique using an activator to locate and treat neurologic and physiologic subluxations on an animals body. All three of our Doctors are trained and certified in this technique and have used it successfully since 1999..
